Grief and (Rock) Gods is an AHRC funded PhD research project by Samiran Culbert at the University of Newcastle’s ICMuS. Drawing on elements of wider cultural phenomena, popular music studies, and death studies, this project seeks to understand how rock stars’ deaths are grieved in online spaces. This website is a continuation of this project, an online space where half formed ideas, blog posts, cartoons, and other interesting outputs from this project can be posted and engaged with.

Enjoy your visit and please feel free to engage with this project in the comments.
